Where I grew up...

"I grew up in a place where there were stars.
Expansive, free space going so far.
Distanced away from anything that scars.

I grew up in a place of awe and wonder.
Every new thing was something to ponder.
All of the pressure, seemed to be under.

I grew up from place to place quick.
Winter frost didn't mean we'd stick.
Not single a thought to make you sick.

I grew up in my mind; in my imagination.
Free from bloodshed, sadness; war between nations.
The world didn't seem like a place of starvation..."


This is something I made for an english project due tomorrow, went a little overboard but I fucking love the result. So, here's another piece for the pile B)

But for the project we needed to write a four stanza, three lines in each stanza, free verse poem about where we grew up. I took it more abstractly as I do and this is the result. I thought having the world breath through the imagination would be cool, thus things dying as they get further from the middle.

Anyways, it's drained me for tonight but I might draw some more tomorrow.
